Free Online Classes - Who Is The Online Student?

Online teaching is useful for those who simply do not have the time to attend classes in a facility that may be several hours drive away, or find it inconvenient for other reasons to attend live classes on site. Instead they can use web conferencing services and online training software to enjoy the benefits of online teaching. It can be the only means by which they can gain additional education given time constraints or work related reasons.

Classes which are taught online account for nearly a third of the students who are attending college classes. In fact, entire degrees can be gained from attending an online university rather than attending classes in an on-campus facility.

Free Online Classes - Is Online Teaching For Me?

You may be asking yourself "Is Online Teaching For Me?" In this short video, I discuss some items to consider before deciding if you want to pursue an online teaching job.

An online teacher plays a critical role in online education. When deciding if online teaching is for you I want you to ask yourself a few questions.

Do you have a reliable internet connection?

Do you have basic computer knowledge (email, office software, internet?)

Do you have professional experience in the subject that you want to teach?

Do believe in the outcome of online education and its success?

Can you dedicate 4 to 6 hours a week (any time during the day or night) to participate in the online teaching process?

Are you willing to log in to your classes 5-6 days a week?

Are you good written communicator?

Do you like the freedom and flexibility to set your own schedule?

If you answered yes, then online teaching may be right for you.
